Kathleen Lambert obtained her Masters in Counseling through The Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio. Kathleen began her preparation for trauma work from the outset of her clinical training. Both during her internship at a local community mental health facility and her period of clinical residency at an organization focused on victims of domestic violence, she worked with child, adolescent and adult victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Kathleen also had the opportunity to work with refugees from countries subject to violent and unstable political situations.

In 2014 Kathleen was among the first clinicians to be trained in EMDR by the EMDR Training Center. Later that year, Kathleen was blessed with the opportunity to work alongside Lisa and Max Sager at Common Ground, a Christian non-profit organization that incorporated EMDR Therapy within a trauma focused approach to healing. She simultaneously worked at Catholic Charities in St. Louis where she worked predominantly with teens and children.

Through her work in various clinical settings and ongoing education, Kathleen has developed a particular interest in working with children, as well as adolescents and adults, victims of violence, sexual abuse, attachment trauma, and dissociative disorders.

In the past year, Kathleen has married and relocated to San Diego. She is currently in the process of transferring her clinical license to California.  She continues to work with the EMDR Training Center as an EMDR Therapy Training Consultant, as well as a EMDR Certification Consultant.
